On Saturday, August 15, we will hold our first invasive plant paddle. We will meet in the canal by the public boat on Youngs’ Ridge Road and after an introductory lesson, proceed to inspect the shoreline of the canal. If time permits, we will continue to check the shoreline.
We are fortunate to have Laurie Callahan of the York County Invasive Aquatic Species Project leading us for this paddle. If you have a Field Guide, Quick Key, the I.D, cards and a view scope, be sure to bring them along. Also a good idea is to use sunscreen, polarized sun glasses and a hat with a brim.
