Wilson Lake Association sponsored its first Fourth of July Boat Parade which saw 20 motor powered boats and at least 10 paddle powered boats, including 8 kayaks, 1 canoe and 1 paddleboat, plus one alligator! Many boaters decked their boats and themselves in red, white and blue as befits the holiday! The turnout was fantastic and enthusiasm was contagious. Many thanks to all who participated in the parade and to those who watched and waved  from shore!

The parade was originally proposed by Robert Cronin who passed away unexpectedly last August. I’m sure Bob was cheering us on from above!

Let’s do it again next year!
